Javier Hernández suffered a severe injury that sidelined him for the entire season with LA Galaxy. The team no longer registered the Mexican striker and now the soccer player is a free agent because he ended his contract with the team.

Now, LA Galaxy has signed the replacement for the Mexican striker. The club chose striker Billy Sharp, a soccer player with a lot of experience in English football and who was one of the best players in the Sheffield United team.

"Billy is an accomplished forward who brings experience, leadership and a proven track record as a goal scorer. We are pleased to sign a player like Billy to the team for this season finale”, LA Galaxy coach Greg Vanney said.

Billy Sharp will begin training with the team and will have the goal of helping the club qualify for the MLS playoffs. The 37-year-old striker will have an important challenge in the United States league.

Who is Billy Sharp?

Billy Sharp has scored 266 goals and 75 assists in just over 690 games in 19 seasons with different English soccer teams. The 37-year-old striker excelled most with Sheffield United FC in England's second division where he scored 129 goals and added 44 assists in 12 years.
