Neymar is one of the richest soccer players and athletes in the world. The salary progress of the Brazilian has been increasing over the years, despite the fact that in the soccer part his level has been constantly dropping.

 

 

The brazilian started his professional career with a salary of 54.000€ per year at Santos, that was in 2009, a year later it was increased to 384.000€ and then they raised his salary to 516.000€ in 2011. In 2013 Barcelona appeared in the life of the striker offering him 7.92M€ per season. He won many titles with the club and they decided to double his salary in 2016 to 15,96M€, according to Transfermarket.

In 2017 a historical event happened and is still being remembered, Neymar became the most expensive transfer in soccer history and he still has the number one position. The PSG paid to Barcelona 222M€ and they offered the player a salary of 20,2M€ per year. In 2021 they increased their contract to 28,6M€. Now he is in Arabia living a millionaire life earning 150M€ per season.

Neymar is one of the twelve players that have won the Copa Libertadores (with Santos in 2011) and the Champions League (with Barcelona in 2015), he also won a title with their National team, the Olympic Games in 2016, but unfortunately he was injured in 2019 when Brazil won the ‘Copa America’.
