Erling Haaland looks like a total Viking in this incredible photoshoot

Erling Haaland has proven to be the new young football star of the decade, he already has won the UEFA Champions League (the first of Manchester City club), he won the Premier League tournament in the 2022/2023 season and he also won the European SuperCoap, completing the treble with just 22 years old.

Erling Haaland usually gets away from the media and when does show up he is normally a bit close. But with the new FIFA International break coming soon (from October 9th to 15th) Erling Haaland was visiting Norway, with him already there, he took a chance to meet again with his roots and decided to become a viking in this photoshoot.

According to information published by news media Stavanger Aftenblad, Haaland was invited to a photo session organized by Scottish sports and nature photographer, David Yarrow, who exploited Erling’s roots and transformed him into a viking. Using a lake from the Lysaker finch, (owned by the millionaire Arne Fredly) as a landscape.

With loose hair, leather vest and boots on, and wielding a wooden shield and an axe, Erling Haaland was transformed into a viking, “We had rubber boots made especially for Erling because in these fjords in Norway there are a lot of small oyster shells. They can be quite sharp and we didn't want him to slip, so I had to take him by the hand into the sea, taking small steps as we went. He is a foot taller than me, but we laughed and everything happened very quickly. I can't think of a better person to dress like a Viking. It suits him perfectly”, told David Yarrow in an interview with The Times.

Why did they dress Haaland as a viking?

The photos taken by David Yarrow will be exposed this Thursday September 28th at the Galleri Fineart in Tjuvholmen, in the district of Majorstuen, Oslo. The photos will be on sale for 35 thousand dollars to up to 40 thousand euros, all the incomes will be sent to the benefit.

Yarrow has gathered almost 12 million dollars since 2016 and most of the money has been sent to NGO’s to help the society in some way with his photos. Yarrow also expressed how much he wanted to work with Erling Haaland, as he says he is one of the most important Norwegian athletes nowadays.
