On the rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo's departure, Erik Ten Hag was blunt, closing the door on his exit: "Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale, he is in our plans, he is not with us for personal issues. We are planning the season with Cristiano Ronaldo in our team, that's all".

The coach affirmed that he had conversations with the Portuguese striker on this issue: "I spoke with him before this issue came up. I had a good conversation with him. He hasn't told me he wants to leave…".

What Ten Hag had to say about new signings

On the interest in Frenkie de Jong, Ten Hag was much more cautious than when talking about CR7. The coach does not want to get involved in that topic since the midfielder is still a Barça player. "Frenkie de Jong? I never talk about players who are under contract with other clubs. I'm not going to answer about Frenkie," he told the media.

Eriksen's name was also on the table, but the answer was blunt: "We want to bring in the right players. We have a very good squad, we are working to develop our way of playing."

This first pre-season press conference of Erik Ten Han generated enormous media interest, with a packed press room full of media wanting to get first-hand impressions of the 'Red Devils' manager.
