Leo Messi could not have started the football year in a better way. He has three goals and two assists, in the current Ligue 1, in addition to lifting the French Super Cup a month back. However, a piece of news about the seven time Ballon d’Or winner has caused concern among PSG fans.

PSG do not want Messi to leave at the end of the season in June and is working on his renewal. Leo Messi’s contract ends in 2023, however, the French club's board hopes to extend the deal for another year. In this context, ‘La Pulga’ would give a low blow to PSG.
