Cristiano Ronaldo has always been characterized as a businessman. The Portuguese player has acquired real estate, brands and has even undertaken in industries such as beverages. However, now, it seems that the Portuguese also wants to own the information. According to El País, an investment group to which Ronaldo belongs is in talks to buy one of the most important newspapers in Portugal.
According to information from the Spanish media, the footballer, through the Expressão Livre company, of which he is a part, has made an offer to take over Cofina Media, the group to which Sábado magazine, CM television belong and El Correio da Manhã. A newspaper that Cristiano Ronaldo knows well, but not for good reasons.
The player has had problems with said newspaper on more than one occasion. The current Al Nassr player has accused them of generating fake news and invading his privacy. He has even gone to court on more than one occasion with said media outlet. Now, he wonders what the player and the group he belongs to will pay for this newspaper.
According to the latest valuation made by the Portuguese company, Confina Media would have a value of 76 million euros. A figure that Cristiano Ronaldo's investment group is willing to assume to own one of the most important media outlets in Portugal and, to a certain extent, at a European level. At the moment, the true intention is unknown, beyond a great business opportunity.
