Carles Puyol names the toughest player he faced and it's not Cristiano Ronaldo

Carles Puyol was one of the best defenders in the history of FC Barcelona, the former club player faced great rivals throughout his career. The Spaniard won several championships including a World Cup.

Puyol faced great players in his career such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Ronaldo Nazario, Raúl González, Luis Figo, Ángel Di María, among others. But the former player mentioned that other footballers really made him suffer.

Carlos Puyol faced several classics in his career and with Cristiano Ronaldo he had a strong rivalry, but the former player mentioned that two players gave him bad times, one was in training and the other in games.

"Messi in training and Drogba in official matches," Carlos Puyol declared in an interview for the official channel Somos Gen. In this interview, he revealed that Lionel Messi and Didier Drogba were the most difficult players he faced in his career.
