Luis Suárez is not close to playing for Inter Miami. Although several journalists, including Fabrizio Romano, confirmed that negotiations had begun with Inter Miami and that there was even a pre-contract, Luis Suárez spoke about his future after finishing the Brasileirao with Gremio de Porto Alegre and denied any type of agreement with the United States as a whole.

The Uruguayan striker was approached by journalist Gonzalo Ronchi and, when asked about his next destination, Suárez stated: “You can talk about many things and many teams, that he has signed for I don't know how many teams and we always have to live with that. "I only agreed to talk to my lawyer tomorrow to see what the possibilities are, because I had told him that I didn't want to know anything until the Brasileirao was over."

Immediately afterwards, the reporter asked him if Inter Miami is a destination that appeals to him. However, far from giving a positive answer, Luis stated: “It could be one of the possibilities, I have the best player in the world and a great friend, with whom we have always talked about things in the future, but I still need to enjoy, rest and then make a decision.”

It should be remembered that Suárez is already a free agent, so there was no reason to hide his desire to go to Florida. These statements, in which he emphasized that this possibility may occur in the future and not in the present, added to his well-known knee pain, suggest that the Pistolero is not so convinced of signing for the Herons and, as of today today, its arrival is not certain.
