Barcelona has renewed Xavi as manager, see until when he will stay

Xavi Hernandez’s arrival has been for good to the Blaugrana team, achieving the championship of Copa del Rey and Supercoap last year. This 2023, Xavi’s team are going all for it as they seek to reach the UEFA Champions League finals and win once again La Liga’s tournament. It is said that Xavi will stay as Barca's manager until 2025, with an option to extend it for one more year

“We showed signs the first year, the second we got titles and this season is perhaps the confirmation of good games and results. I feel supported by the President (Joan Laporta), I feel very strong in confidence. The players have a good time, they come to enjoy themselves. It's a good time but we don't have to stop to keep this working”, expressed Barcelona’s manager.

Xavi Hernandez’s arrival came in difficult times, on sports and economical level, as Spain was still dealing with economical consequences the covid-19 pandemic brought. He remarks the great work made by the executives, the staff and players have done since his arrival, “Two important titles have been achieved, I think it is still a construction and training process. But we are competing with excellent games”.

Is Xavi staying too long?

Every Barcelona’s fan was excited with the announcement of Xavi’s arrival as the new manager. His experience in the club as a player gave him the ease to command the new Blaugrana generation.

His performance as manager has led the team to be once again champions in Spain, and they hope the good streak continues, but how long will he stay?

“I see it complicated to stay 15 years, it is clear that this is Barça and there are terrible demands. Yes, it's true that I know where I am. But there are moments when I have not had a good time and others when I have enjoyed it a lot. I have already said this many times, it is like a roller coaster of sensations”, said the multiple champion.

“I hope I can spend years here enjoying it. I’m at home. I am delighted, grateful, and supported, with tremendous trust from the President and the executives, now from Deco and the sports area. I am happy, at this moment I am very happy, but no, 15 years is going to be a really very difficult task.”, answered Xavi Hernandez.
