Paris Saint-Germain failed to get past a draw in the most recent round of Ligue 1. Luis Enrique's team is following an irregular path at the start of the season. However, despite the tie, PSG once again had Kylian Mbappe, who had been injured in the last match, but managed to return without any problem for this new round. Now, after the team's result, the PSG president's statements about the future of the team's star are surprising.

It is no secret the multiple tensions experienced by PSG and Kylian Mbappe last summer. The club was close to selling him because the Frenchman did not want to activate his renewal clause and this brought closer the possibility of the player leaving the club for free by 2024. However, the talks have been resumed and the footballer's future could remain in question. PSG after all.

“Kylian is a Paris Saint-Germain player. He loves the club, he is the best footballer in the world and we are happy to have him in the team and we will have him,” said the PSG president in talks with French media. This could imply that the club has big plans regarding what is currently happening at the club, regarding the players on the squad and the club's plans for the future.

PSG tied with the bottom of Ligue 1

PSG did not go beyond a draw at the Gabriel Montpied against Clermont (0-0) that frustrated the Parisian attacks. Luis Enrique's men dominated the game but had a wet gun in front of goal. Mbappé sent a ball to the woodwork and Diaw prevented Gonçalo Ramos from giving the visitors the victory in the final minutes. The Parisian team must now prepare for the following matches in the UEFA Champions League where they already have 3 points and want to start getting their classification on track.
