Bayern Munich does not stop lifting trophies, after consecrating themselves in the Champions League it was now the turn of the German Super Cup. The one who made history by winning this championship is the player representing the United States, Chris Richards. After 30 years a player from that country was able to lift the trophy again, previously it had been won by Thomas Dooley with Kaiserslautern.

Richards plays his second season with the German team and had only played one game this season. On this opportunity, he replaced defender Benjamin Pavard to end the game on the field. He shared minutes with former MLS player Alphonso Davies (Vancouver whitecaps), and Gio Reyna also played for Dortmund team.

The game had all the seasonings of a true final, but Bayern prevailed due to its hierarchy and continues to show why it is the best in Europe. The final result was 3-2 and the goals of the winning team were scored by Tolisso, Muller and Kimmich, while at Dortmund they were from Brandt and Halland.

The future of the young promises of the United States is very promising and expectations are growing to see if they can make the leap in quality internationally as selected. The next few months will have reasons to measure themselves and see if the good times of their players can really come together and take the United States where it deserves.
