Why the signing of Adrian Zendejas by Minnesota United was the worst decision he could have made

The trade between Minnesota United and Nashville SC involved the dispatch of goalkeeper Zendejas to Minnesota, while Nashville received a fourth-round pick for the 2021 MLS SuperDraft plus $ 50,000 for goals the goalkeeper achieves. But his arrival occurs in a context of Minnesota that has four more goalkeepers, so it is very unlikely that the player will see action.

Zendejas will team up with the following goalkeepers: Tyler Miller, Greg Ranjitsingh, Dayne St. Clair, Fred Emmings. That is why the decision of the arrival of a new goalkeeper does not seem correct. Of the four that were already there, Tyler Miller was the one who played the most games in the 2020 season with eight games played, while Ranjitsingh and St Clair played 3 games each.

Adrian Zendejas has just played 7 games for Necaxa in the Mexican league and had previously played for Dallas FC and Guadalajara. His best moment was in the Mexican rise, between 2017 and 2018 when he played about 40 games for Zacatepec.
