Real Salt Lake is one of the worst teams in MLS 2020 and the second worst in the Western Conference as it ranks second to last. One of the reasons for their poor timing is the discipline of their players: in their last two losses to Colorado Rapids and Vancouver Whitecaps the team finished with ten players.
The most undisciplined player of the season is Kyle Beckerman. The seasoned midfielder has three yellow cards and one red so far this season and is one of the worst in that respect in MLS. Also in the MLS Is Back tournament he had already received other red cards and had been given an extra suspension date for kicking the ball towards referee Drew Fischer.
According to Freddy Juarez, the Real Salt Lake coach, they are not undisciplined. He explains that this is all due to bad luck and that his team is not cruel at all. Finally, he expressed that his team has to control itself in the hot moments of the game and return to the team that they were last season.
