Eight games have already been disputed in the MLS. And DC United has not find its best soccer yet. However, the capital city's team won't stay with crossed arms and directives move to acquire a new striker. Gelmin Rivas from Venezuela is the new arrival.
The 30-year-old forward recently played for MKE Ankaragücü in the Turkish Süper Liga, scoring once and adding an assist in seven appearances. DC United paid $700,000 for his transfer fee. A number that seems to be reasonable as the Venezuelan didn't have much continuity.
Rivas arrival will give the Black and Red that variant that needs in the offensive side of its team. United have Ola Kamara and Erik Sorga as options as center forwards, but now they will add a player who has scored double-digit goal seasons in his past, in order to compete with them.
