Los Angeles Galaxy are having a terrible season and the defense is largely to blame, but the young Julian Araujo has caught the attention of Mexico coach Gerardo Martino and invited him to become part of the Mexico national team in the future. Araujo, who has Mexican parents but was born in the United States, must decide which team to represent.

In the last game the LA Galaxy lost 6-3 against Portland Timbers, the defender scored one of his team's goals. At just 19 years old, Araujp has earned the trust of Guillermo Barros Schelotto after the MLS is Back tournament that took place in Orlando where he was one of the stars of the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Araujo is a player who can play both as a central defender and as a latela, but his greatest virtue, beyond defending, is that of reaching the opposite goal and scoring goals. At the same time, he is a great player to assist teammates since from either side he can throw great centers for the forwards to score the goal.

Araujo has been part of the minor divisions of the United States National Team for more than 3 years, since he has passed from U18 to U23. Coach Gerardo Martino knows this so he would call him on the next FIFA date to make sure that the player wants to represent Mexico and not the United States.
