Colorado Rapids made official the arrival of one of the players who has won the most titles in the last decade in North American football: Steven Beitashour. The 33-year-old Iranian defender comes to the team in free form after two seasons at Los Angeles FC in which he had a superlative performance.

In January 2010, the Asian was part of the San Diego State and was drafted by the San José Earthquakes. There he stayed for four seasons where he could not achieve any title. In January 2014 he was transferred to Vancouver Whitecaps and there he began to make a name for himself in Canadian soccer. Although in the first year he did not achieve titles, in 2015 he won the Canadian championship trophy. He was also part of the Iranian team that played the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

His best moment was with another Canadian team: Toronto FC. There he won two Canadian tournaments in a row (2016 and 2017) and also lived Toronto's golden age in MLS, being runner-up in 2016 and winning the championship in the 2017 season. There he played more than 60 games without scoring goals.
