General Manager Gerard Nijkamp spoke about the decision of the striker and specified details of it. “Our greatest priority is to focus on the wellbeing of all of our players and staff. Adrien spoke to us about the possibility of stepping away from the club because of a family situation and we concluded that this would be the best possible solution for everybody", he explained.

The striker made ten appearances, recording two assists for the Orange and Blue during the 2020 MLS regular season. He also made his FC Cincinnati debut in the club’s season opener on March 1, 2020.
