If we take a look at the table now, Real Salt Lake is almost on the last spot, but then if we look at the points the team is only 1 point away from the eighth place. Although these stats can be misleading because the real problem of RSL is the lack of goals, and if that persist, there is no chance of the getting anywhere.
There is a losing mentality at Real Salt Lake, they lost three matches in a row after that 1-2 against Vancouver. Although, the coach Freddy Suárez said that the team have played almost perfect all the time, but they do not have the chance of buying players that can score.
Apparently, the franchise has not the power to acquire new starts and they need some new blood. Some players that take the ball and show up on the hard times, but unfortunately that is really hard to find. The midfielder Damir Kreilach is the most reliable option with 7 goals, and he has as many goals as the rest of the forward combined.
The problem is clear, if you want to win, you have to score. RSL need to take more shots, to attack and don’t get used to play well and lose. Besides Kreilach, there is another player can bring Real Salt Lake these options and is Albert Rusnak, his passing skills typically help to unlock opportunities.
