Incredibly, NYCFC has hardly played a game in 2020 at its stadium. For protocol reasons regarding the pandemic, it could only do it again now.

Since action returned in MLS, more precisely in August, NYCFC had no alternative but to play at home in the RBA and share space with the New York Red Bulls. This was due to current regulations stating that the team cannot share Yankee Stadium with the New York Yankees for security reasons.

But all this would change in the next few days. It happens that the return of NYCFC to its field is imminent. The MLB announced that it will be competed in a bubble format similar to those launched by the NBA and the MLS. That is why the soccer team could use the stadium again.

Now it only remains for the bubble system that MLB intends to establish to start. That way, there would be no more impediments to playing at home and translating the benefit into sporting success.
