Vancouver Whitecaps FC is one of the oldest teams in the Major League and Canada Soccer system. In that way, chief executive officer and sporting director Axel Schuster confirmed a a new organizational alignment and focus that could revolution the way franchises influence on communities.

“We will have a new senior leadership team with the majority new to the club, including myself. We will continue to be community leaders and take meaningful action with a new department focused on community, diversity and inclusion. We will also build a new department for fans and members that will provide a deeper connection with a new WFC Membership Club”, Schuster explained.

The Whitecaps are moving forward adding two leaders in the Revenue and Marketing areas. They will have to be the ones to build the franchise’s image and bring back results. But also, the position of the Canadian team at the community is essential. In that way, they will try to connect deeply with its supporters and fans by hiring a director of fans and members and launching a WFC Membership Club open to anyone.
