Toronto FC is close to signing another Italian player this season. Bob Bradley's team is not having a good time being in the last places of the Eastern Conference.

The Canadian squad suffered the departure of its franchise player, Alejandro Pozuelo, who was sold to David Beckham's Inter Miami, so now they have to find an element to make up for the Spaniard's absence this season.

Reports indicate that Toronto FC is close to hiring the Italian midfielder, Federico Bernardeschi, who is a free player after finishing his contract with Juventus.

Toronto FC hired Lorenzo Insigne in this summer market, who was the star of Napoli in Serie A. He has not been able to debut in the MLS due to a muscle injury that will keep him out of action for three weeks.

It would be the third Italian in the squad of Toronto FC

They also hired veteran defender Domenico Criscito who left Genoa for his first MLS experience. Now with Bernardeschi he would be the third Italian in the club.
