Kortne Ford, an American soccer player for Sporting Kansas City, was fined 20 percent of his annual salary and suspended 10 games for doping, something that is not regulated in any sport and carries serious penalties.

The MLS doping department found an unspecified substance in the blood of the American defender, which help him to improve his performance, with this he violated a rule of American soccer.
The MLS reported that this sanction suspends Ford in exhibition matches, tournaments and training, for the duration of this punishment.

It will be until September 23, against Wayne Rooney's DC United, that Ford will be able to play again in the MLS. This player has played for the Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City clubs.
