Since Olsen stopped being the coach of DC United, different names of coaches are being called for next season. At first the main candidate looked like she was going to be the multiple champions with the USWNT, Jill Ellis but in the last hours she seems to have lost a bit of ground. Now DC United would be thinking of a very successful coach who is within the MLS itself.

DC United is in a situation very similar to that of LA Galaxy since it had a very bad season and also was left without a coach. Two of the most important teams in the history of MLS want to be back on the front page of the newspapers for the good results and not for the failures. For that they must find the ideal person for the position of coach.

According to MLS journalist Steven Goff, DC United would be interested in hiring the Philadelphia Union's assistant coach. Pat Noonan could have the chance to be the head coach and turn his professional career around. Philadelphia Union is an example for the other MLS teams as it is the third consecutive time that they have won the Supporters Shield.

It will be a long few weeks for DC United but they will have to scramble to find the right coach to replace Olsen. Let's remember that Olsen was as coach of DC United for more than 10 years and did not have great results. If DC United wants to wake up again, it will definitely need to hire a trained coach with a long-term plan.
