Nicolas Lodeiro arrived to the MLS on July 2016, when Boca Juniors decided to sell him to Seattle Sounders FC for $6 million. The Argentine club was starting a new era and decided that the Uruguayan was not going to be considered, even though he showed much talent at La Bombonera.
More than four years before his arrival, Lodeiro is one of the top players of the MLS. He scored 40 goals and gave 45 assists in 136 games for his club and the numbers this season are even better: he scored five goals and gave eight assists, leading his team, first in the Western Conference.
But the statics of Lodeiro get even better this season in other aspects. He is the player who created more big chances in the whole league (13), the second one with more touches per minute (93.12) and the one who runs more distance per game (7.68 miles).
Lodeiro is a soccer worker. At his age of 31 he is still in a great form, probing that he is not a player from the bunch. After 60 international games played for Uruguay, he is the very exact moment in which he can guide Seattle to the title.
