The reason why Jozy Altidore did not play last night against Montreal Impact

Jozy Altidore has been one of the principal players who is fully commited with the Black Lives Matter movement. After the historic decision of postponing the league matches during the week, he decided that it was not enough. Finally, the US national team striker remained with the decision of not playing last night.

The racism situation in America left soccer in a second term. And Altidore is one of the active characters to reinforce that message. Yestarday he decided not to be part of the match. He watched the game on the stadium grades with a Black Lives Matter T-shirt. And his team which fully support him, finally gifted him with a victory against Montreal Impact.

After the match, Altidore left an overwhelming message where once again he expressed his personal condition with the cause. "When you have only ever experienced privilege, equality feels like oppression", Altidore sentenced in his Twitter account.
