The MLS and Liga MX will jointly market the television rights of their clubs starting next year when the Leagues Cup is played. President Mikel Arriola reported this Wednesday.

This is not the first time that these Leagues will work together. With the creation of the Leagues Cup they have made an alliance since 2020

The Leagues Cup will be played for the third year. This tournament pits Liga MX clubs against MLS. Cruz Azul took the first edition and León the second.

In its first year, the Leagues Cup had the participation of four teams from Liga MX and four from MLS. leaving positive numbers

In its second edition, two teams from Liga MX and two teams from MLS participated, where León was the champion.

All MLS and Liga MX teams will face each other

For the 2023 edition, all MLS teams will face off against all Liga MX teams. It will be a month of competitions. The champion of the Leagues Cup will have a ticket to the round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Mikel Arriola explained that both leagues will be in charge of marketing the matches in their respective territories and together they will handle international rights.
