The millionaire bet to replace Gonzalo Martínez: Atlanta United FC would go for Marcelino Moreno

According to Argentinean journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Atlanta United FC has already a new name to reinforce its team after Gonzalo Pity Martinez' departure to Al-Nassr. The chosen one would be Marcelino Moreno. The attacking midfielder is in his career's best moment and would be interested in a hierarchic jump to another league.

Moreno is playing actually at Lanus, a team that reached the prestigious Copa Libertadores finals at 2017. He has already featured 106 games with his team with only 25 years old. Along his career he scored six goals and made 13 assists. One of his higher points was being part of Talleres de Córdoba promotion in 2015.

For Atlanta United FC it has been difficult weeks after the unexpected departure of Pity Martinez, but also the possibility of losing also Ezequiel Barco, who recently missed two penalty kicks in the same game. To acquire Moreno, they will have to spend a millionaire amount of money as the player's market value is $4.5M according to Transfermarkt.
