The Vancouver Whitecaps were without their main striker for the rest of September after the MLS disciplinary committee suspended Lucas Cavallini for four games. And it is that this player did a serious action.
The player received a red card for stepping on an opponent's head in the 53rd minute of Vancouver's 3-0 loss to Nashville on Aug. 27. The sanction was for "violent conduct," the disciplinary commission explained in a statement.

The forward will also not see action in Saturday's game against the Rapids in Colorado and in two additional games. The 29-year-old Canadian will be able to return to the lineup on October 1, when Vancouver hosts Austin.
Lucas Cavallini has eight goals and two assists this season in 22 MLS games, as well as eight yellow cards and one red. Pretty good numbers for the former Puebla player from Liga MX.
