FC Cincinnati has just confirmed that they have signed Beckham Sunderland's contract. The goalkeeper hailing from the FC Cincinnati academy will become the first player to become an academy professional. It is a great success for FC Cincinnati as it will be able to raise the level of Sunderland and project a future big sale.

Sunderland has already participated in several calls for the youth categories of the USMNT and projects a great future. From FC Cincinnati they are very happy to have the player since they believe that in a few years he will be the starting goalkeeper of the first team. Sunderland has won the contract after good performances in FC Cincinnati training.

Sunderland has had a stint at the Portland Timbers and Chicago Fire academies but FC Cincinnati was in time to convince him to save for them. Sunderland's salary at the moment will be between $60,000 and $80,000 dollars as he will have the salary of a homegrown player from the supplemental team.

It is a great step for the FC Cincinnati team as it shows all the young people in its academy that with work and effort, a professional contract can be signed. For his part, Beckham Sunderland will have to show that he is at the height of an MLS team.
