Nashville Soccer Club was able to celebrate the first victory in the comeback of the 2020 MLS season and the first victory in its history, beating FC Dallas by a goal against zero. Despite the success obtained, the team had a significant absence in the match.
The person absent was Gary Smith, coach of Nashville Soccer Club, who was not allowed into the game. This is because the first COVID-19 test gave a positive result. After two more tests performed on the coach, both giving negative results, it was confirmed that the first COVID-19 test was a false positive.
Unfortunately, time was not enough for Gary Smith to be present at the first Nashville Soccer Club victory. However, the coach is expected to be able to witness the next game against FC Dallas.
