This American player has that first Premier League match he has waited for so much time. And he even had the pleasure of going home with the three points.

Another American player had the pleasure to make it to an European top league. MLS and USMNT keep producing players that reach the highest heights of soccer world. This time it happened in the Premier League, where a player had his debut and won having a consistent performance.

He had been watched in Bundesliga last season, and his English club took him definitely. He was benched a lot and waited for his moment. Last week Ederson Moraes, the starter in his position tested positive for COVID-19 and this USMNT goalkeeper had the chance of taking his place.

That is how Zack Steffen got his first Premier League match ever. His Manchester City achieved a 3-1 win in an extremely difficult away match against Chelsea, where Christian Pulisic played the full game. Steffen showed a good performance, gave confidence to his defenders and was not at fault for Chelsea's late goal.

Manchester City had six players out because of the virus, so a victory like this was even more unforeseeable. But the Pep Guardiola side managed to get the three points and keep giving fight to reclaim the Premier League title. Maybe, the USMNT keeper will be available for the next games and if he impresses, he might earn that spot definitely.
