The FIFA international window is over and had left great moments at the beginning of the Conmebol Qualifiers. But they also slightly affected the MLS teams due to the large number of players that were called up by their national teams to play games in this Qualifiers towards the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
LAFC was one of the clubs most affected. The have lost Uruguayans Brian Rodríguez and Diego Rossi and the Ecuadorians Juan Cifuentes and Diego Palacios. Despite this losses, those led by Bob Bradley managed to get an important victory against Seattle Sounders.
The Sounders were other of the teams affected. In their case, they lost Raúl Ruidíaz and Xavier Arreaga. Orlando City was another tema affected by the call ups of Pedro Gallese and Jhegson Méndez. Inter Miami, on it's side, lost Rodolfo Pizarro. However, the FIFA date is over and now many are wondering, when will they be able to return to the field?
Do the summoned have to be quarantined? The answer is yes. Players will have to start the quarantine process required by the North American league. This self-quarantine process could put at risk that Uruguayans Diego Rossi and Brian Rodríguez presence in the El Tráfico derby between LAFC and LA Galaxy, which will be held in ten days, next October 25.
For their side, Seattle Sounders will lose Raúl Ruidíaz for the Cascadian derby against Portland Timbers. The Peruvian is in quarantine after having tested positive for coronavirus during the Qualifiers. Finally, Orlando City will loose Pedro Gallese for the match against Inter Miami in the last Florida derby of the year, while Inter Miami won't be able to count on Rodolfo Pizarro for that match.
