And one day LA Galaxy returned to triumph. Los Angeles Galaxy, Guillermo Barros Schelotto's team, beat Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 and broke a seven-game streak without a win in the MLS Western Conference. In any case, those led by Barros Schelotto are still last with 18 points.

Everyone thought that the players would give the Galaxy a return to victory would be players like Cristian Pavon, the Colombian Yony Gonzalez, Efraín Álvarez or why not Chicharito Hernandez coming from the bench. Nobody imagined that a player emerged from the Los Angeles Galaxy academy would be handling a victory to the team.

22-year-old Kai Koreniuk played the hero of the Galaxy against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Dignity Health Sports Park. He entered in the 87th minute and in extra-time, after a cross by Cristian Pavón, he converted his goal and broke the Galaxy's six-game losing streak. The Galaxy now sit just three points behind the Whitecaps for the eighth and final spot in the playoffs.

Kai Koreniuk is a Dutch-American football player. In the beginning he played in the Eerste Divisie, the second division of Dutch soccer, and made his debut for Jong AZ on 25 August 2017. On March the 7th 2019, Koreniuk joined USL Championship side LA Galaxy II and made his first appearance with the first team of LA Galaxy on 23 July 2019, during a 2019 Leagues Cup fixture against Club Tijuana. Finally in June 2020, Koreniuk moved permanently to LA Galaxy's first team roster.
