The Kansas City crisis is not just about Alan Pulido

Sporting Kansas City missed striker Alan Pulido during the 1-0 loss to FC Dallas. For the first time this season, the Wizards did not score any goals in a game. It is obvious that the absence of the Mexican forward had an impact on the game. However, Sporting Kansas City's crisis is not just about him. 

Alan Pulido is the top scorer of the team this season, with six goals. As he was called up by coach Gerardo Martino to play with the Mexican national team. Erik Hurtado took his place during the game against FC Dallas. Like his teammates, the striker did not have a great performance: he just shot once and made eleven accurate passes.

Khiry Shelton is not going through his best moment either: his last goal was on September 2, in the 1-1 draw against FC Dallas. 

After the defeat against FC Dallas, the team coached by Peter Vermes is in third place in the Western Conference with 29 points. In total, they scored 29 goals and conceded 23 goals. Meanwhile, Seattle Sounders, which will play against San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, is the leader with 30 points.
