St. Louis has a world record holder as new Sporting Director

After two years from the confirmation of joining the MLS in 2023, Saint Louis SC hired Lutz Pfannenstiel as its new Sporting Director.

The new franchise that last week presented full name and shield, continues working on the conformation of the new soccer club. In that way, they accomplished to hire Lutz Pfannestiel. The former German player was a globetrotter in soccer history.

Until he was overcome by Sebastián Abreu in 2017, the 47 year-old-ex-goalkeeper hold the world record for playing in 25 different teams around the globe. Those teams include some experiences in recondite places like Malaysia, South Africa, New Zealand, but also an experience in MLS at Vancouver Whitecaps twelve years ago.

Different personalities send a video to congratulate Pfannestiel for his new role. The Saint Louis SC Twitter account merged all that greetings in one post which showed famous former players such as Gaizka Mendienta, Christian Karembeu, Tim Howard, between others.
