Inter Milan are moving fast to replenish their squad in readiness for the expected departure of Romelu Lukaku. The striker is set for a return to former club side, Chelsea with a reported €105m deal agreed between both clubs. Despite numerous rebuttals, the burly forward looks destined for a return to the EPL after just 2 seasons in Serie A.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan is already close to signing his replacement for just €4m from the fellow Italian side. Bosnian striker, Edin Dzeko is set to move to Inter Milan after the Nerazzurri agreed terms to bring the striker to the San Siro. Dzeko is a Serie A veteran having played the last 6 seasons at Roma. He has scored an impressive 119 goals in 260 matches with Roma.

Inter Milan are reported to also be in the running to bring back Mauro Icardi to the club. Milan has already banked £60m this summer from the transfer of Achraf Hakimi to PSG. Lautaro Martinez is also rumoured to be in line for a £60m move to Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal. Inter see Dzeko, Icardi and Netherlands wing-back Denzel Dumfries as the perfect replacements for the departing stars.

Inter were in financial troubles with reports stating that the Chinese-backed club would need to sign some first-team players to raise money for the club. New coach Simone Inzaghi will be tasked with defending the Serie A title won by Antonio Conte while also overseeing the capital club's run in the UEFA Champions League.
