Seattle Sounders is a strong contender for the MLS title this year. To strengthen their defense they have decided to transfer Torres from Inter Miami, in exchange for a future draft selection, a risky move but a good one thinking in the short term. They trust that Torres can give greater security to the team's defense

Torres played 80 games between 2015 and 2019 with the Seattle team where he won 3 conference titles and 2 MLS Cup. His experience and leadership both on and off the court are the virtues that his new coach highlighted when he was asked why he trusted the veteran player again.

From the networks it was possible to see a great reception for the Panamanian player and the fans are very excited about his return, but they will have to wait to see him on the court. Prior to his first training, he must comply with the covid protocol, so he will remain isolated for at least 10 days.

Seattle wants to repeat the championship achieved in 2019 when it beat Toronto FC 3-1 in the final. This challenge of lifting the trophy again was one of the reasons why Torres decided to leave David Beckham's project at Inter Miami, which is in the last positions of the league.
