Brad Smith will put on the Seattle Sounders jersey again. The defender was announced as a new reinforcement after a stint at Bournemouth and Cardiff City in the United Kingdom. In both clubs he could not have the minutes he wanted so he left free. This will be his third cycle at the Seattle club.
"Brad helped us win a championship at home in 2019. He's a good guy to have in the locker room and he's already built relationships with the players on our team. I'm looking forward to bringing him back to the team." said Brian Schmetzer, the coach of Seattle Sounders.
Smith will have to wait to debut as he will have a mandatory quarantine period before joining the team. "We are very excited to bring Brad, a proven winner who adds even more speed and athleticism to our team," said Garth Lagerwey, Sounders general manager. "With Brad out of a contract, this was an exceptionally good deal for us as it allowed the club to add a high-impact player during this unorthodox season."
