Seattle Sounders FC defeated Real Salt Lake City FC 2-1 last Wednesday. It was the first Sounders's triumph by a difference of one goal since early March. As much as this fact speaks for itself about the Brian Schmetzer's team shape, the coach also believes is good for a title contender to learn to win games where the squad is uncomfortable.

That's just what Schmetzer had to say after the game. He didn't stop by to criticize his player's performances. Moreover, He congratulated them. It's on this manager's genesis to believe that the talent gap between different MLS's teams is very small, so it doesn't have to surprise anyone when a team out of playoffs spots upset a title contender.

In this sense, Schmetzer added after the game that there will be bumps along the way, so wins should never be disparage. Three points are three points, whenever you scored one or seven goals. In addition, the Sounders where missing four potential starters, so it wasn't just another day at the office for the squad.

Anyway, the Seattle Sounders's numbers are awesome this season. The Washington state club is averaging 2.2 points per game since the MLS came back on July. Moreover, only the 6,7% of their triumphs have been just by a difference of one goal. Since 2012, no MLS Cup finalist have won less than 14% of their wins by one goal, as Jeremiah Oshan, from Sounder at Heart, stated.
