New York City FC is having a good season so far, but nothing secures them a place in the post season. With 8 wins, 3 draws and 8 defeats these last games will be crucial for them and Ronny Delia has a serious problem with his squad that could be heavy unless the team gets some rest.

In 19 MLS games this season, the coach has used 18 different outfield players, less than all but one of the five team ahead of New York City in the Eastern Conference standings. Toronto FC, for example, has played with 23 different starters. This will make your team tired no matter how hard they try.

The defense has been really under-rotated. Anton Tinnerholm and Alexander Callens did not play as starters only one game, and Maxime Chanot two. That is a lot of effort for any professional player considering that there was a suspension this year that made it much more difficult for the players to perform physically.

That’s not all, with Heber out, Maxi Moralez coming back from an injury and Alexandru Mitrita off, Delia has been forced to repeat his attack very often. Of course, every team needs to know who the key players are and try to get the best from them, but this extreme situation could cost a lot to New York City FC.
