On February 2011, Ronaldo Nazario announced his retirement from professional soccer. The attacker played since 1993 until 2011, and he announced that he was not playing any longer. His last club was Corinthians, even though after he stopped playing, he was still linked to soccer world.

Ronaldo started on 2014 as a shareholder at Fort Lauderdale and left on 2017, one year before he bought Real Valladolid, to transform into the president and the owner of the Spanish side. Since then, he has been working hard to help the team transform into a competitive on in the country.

All type of problems hit Ronaldo, who always find the way to get out. Recently, it was said that polemical Venezuelan broker Danilo Díaz Granados was involved in Real Valladolid thanks to Ronaldo and due to the negotiation made by Octavio Boccalandro. Granados is accused of corruption and has been linked with ex-Venezuela president Hugo Chávez.

Ronaldo was asked about this and said that he had no idea if Granados was effectively a shareholder at the club. So far now, Spanish press criticized him for this, but he will still be in front of the club. As he stated recently, he has no intentions on leaving for the last two years at least.
