Bode Davies is the 22nd Real Salt Lake Academy graduate to sign a contract. Davis, 18, made his professional debut with reigning USL champions Real Monarchs in July and has played 12 games for the club. He is a versatile player, making the majority of his appearances with the Monarchs thus far in left midfield, but played later during his time at the Real Salt Lake academy.

RSL General Manager Eliott Fall said in a statement that Davies is a player who has excelled in the academy and has shown a lot of potential in various places on the field. He said he has shown versatility and has the physical attributes to take the next step. Davies responded by saying that he just wants to keep working and hopes to play for the fans at the Rio Tinto Stadium.

Real Salt Lake is currently in 11th place in the Western Conference, although only five points separate 11th and third place. The next matches to be played are: Los Angeles Galaxy (September 23), Minnesota United (September 27) and Los Angeles FC (October 4).
