One of the worst news for D.C. United was Paul Arriola’s injury at the preseason camp in Florida. The winger suffered an ACL what demanded him a huge effort in recovery but also to be mentally prepared as the medical team told him that probably he would lose the rest of 2020’s season. But the player born in Chula Vista has another plans.

"He is on track to hopefully get some minutes this year as it goes down into the stretch.". It’s been inspiring to watch him in the weight room and he's out on the field in a neutral capacity. It's nice to have him with the guys and his energy”, admited Ben Olsen, the Black and Red’s head coach.

Arriola joined D.C. United three years ago and since then he became a crucial piece for the team. He scored 14 times in his 70 appearances. The 3 million transfer fee that the Black and Red paid for him was profitable last year where he had great performances which led him to play in the US National Team. His team misses him and it seems that his comeback would be sooner as was originally expected.
