They are just there. San José Earthquakes beat Real Salt Lake City 2-0 at home and almost secured their spot at playoffs after getting a confortable five point difference with only six points remaining. It would take only a miracle to prohibit San José from advancing to next round. Matías Almeyda, therefore, will stay.

The goals where scored both by Chris Wondolowski the active top goal producer of the whole MLS. San José's game was never really in danger as they played much better that Salt Lake City and also scored at the beginning of the game, just 16 minutes after the match started.

Wondolowski now topped the MLS produced goals standing with 208 goals produced, after adding two more to a total of 166 goals through out his career, together with 42 assists. He is followed by Kei Kamara, who has produced throughout his career 177 goals in 395 MLS games.

San José's las two meetings are hard: they will host Los Angeles FC in a modern California's classic game, and then they will summed their regular season in Seattle against the Sounders. They are ahead of Vancouver by three points, by Real Sal Lake City by five and by Houston Dynamo by six. You never know, but today San José won a six point game and almost secured their spot on the playoffs.
