Orbelín Pineda had a great pass through Chivas. The attacker played 128 matches since January 2016 to January 2019 and gained some important titles in the club. But, at the end, the Rebaño Sagrado considered him transferable and sold him to Cruz Azul for $11 million.
After all, Pineda has transformed into an important player not only at Cruz Azul but also at Mexico national team. On the friendly played this Saturday against South-Korea in Autria, he gave to key assists that ended on goal and allowed the side coached by Gerardo Martino to achieve the victory.
Pineda has a contract remaining with his club until December 2021 and many times had the chance to leave. Chivas tried to recover him in several occasions, as sport adviser Ricardo Peláez considers him an excellent player and wanted him to join the squad coach by Víctor Vucetich.
But Pineda was clear that he can play in many teams in his career but not at Chivas. As it is reported, the forward thinks that the way in which the Rebaño Sagrado axe him was not the correct one and that is the reason why he is sure that he won’t be going back, no matter how much they insist.
