Tévez returned to Boca Juniors in 2018 and was part of the Xeneizes for three and a half years before his contract ended last July, prior to the start of the 2021-22 season. Since then, “El Apache” has been a free agent, but at 38 he still hasn’t given any signs of wanting to retire.
Although DC United was the first MLS club interested in acquiring the Argentina international -and according to his agent, they’re on negotiations with them and are close to signing a deal-, when news broke about Tévez desire to arrive in the US, Minnesota United and Orlando City joined the pursue of “El Apache”.
Carlos Tévez debuted in 2002 with Boca Juniors, and after three years he joined Brazilian side Corinthians, where he only played a year before joining Premier League side West Ham United. He played for a few English teams before joining Juventus for two seasons.
Tévez returned to Boca Juniors in 2015 but left again for a short stint in China. Now, he’s looking to end his career in one of the leagues that have grown the most in recent years, on a season that promises to be full of superstars.
