New York City FC are fifth in the east conference and march on their way going to the playoffs for now. But, despite the good moment that the team is facing, some bad news smashed the fans of NYCFC recently, especially when thinking about the action of the end of the season.

This Thursday the club confirmed the departure of forward Alexandru Mitrita, who will be leaving in a loan to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli Saudi FC until 2022. And even then, his new club will be able to buy the Romanian aged 25. It is a significant loose for the team coached by Ronny Deila, after the 41 games he played showing a good level.

But that absence won't be the unique that the club will suffer, as there are three players that are actually injured, with an unknown time of return: Heber, Maximiliano Morález and Gedion Zelalem.

Despite all those problems, NYCFC completed a great match against DC United and won 4-1 in Week 16. It was the third win in a row for the team, after defeating Cincinnati and Inter Miami before. Coach Deila will now have to motivate Valentín Castellanos, Alexander Ring and both Ismael Tajouri and Gary Mackay Steven in order to suffer a bit lease these absences.
