The LA Galaxy are in the final part of the season, they have 11 games left to qualify for the Playoffs, the team is in ninth position in the Western Conference with 30 units.
The Californian club has to finish in the first seven places in the Western Conference in order to qualify for the Playoffs. That is why the LA Galaxy hired Riqui Puig so that the team can improve.
When does Riqui Puig debut with the LA Galaxy?
He could have made it to Real Madrid, but drinking won him over; now he sells backpacks
Coach Greg Vaaney hopes that Riqui Puig can get the visa from him so that he gets minutes this weekend against the Vancouver Whitecaps, although he is less optimistic that he will play.
Vaaney is excited with the quality of Riqui Puig, the coach is happy with the way the Spanish midfielder trains and hopes that he can help the LA Galaxy a lot.
"(Riqui) is vibrant, he has a great personality. You see it when he trains: his speed, his changes with the ball. His technical ability is there, and it was something we knew," the coach added. "I hope he can integrate into the group and see how his game dynamics can improve our team. He's more of a late pass player, who can speed up the tempo of our game," Vaaney said.
