Columbus Crew, after losing against Toronto last Friday, September 27 and drawing against FC Dallas, both away games, had the possibility to reverse the situation against Montreal Impact. Bojan Krkic's sensational moment under Thierry Henry's command did not allow it.

The Finns Lassi Lappalainen scored first for Montreal Impact. Although one of MLS's top scorers, Gyasi Zardes, was able to equalize things, Caleb Porter's team isn't showing itself as dominant as they usually are. Even though Columbus improved in the second half, Bojan Krkic transformed a penalty into goal at the 74th minute to sentence the game.

After more than a year The Black & Gold lost again at home, something that had not happened since July 6 of last year when they lost 2-1 against Seattle Sounders. The Columbus Crew is now on a three-game winless streak, and it had been outscored by their rivals for three goals. The absence of Lucas Zelarrayán on the offensive side of the ball is clear and Nagbe's ability to keep the team's pace is also missed.

Columbus now stands third on the East, with Toronto and Philadelphia Union going across a great moment. Toronto stays at the top of the conference with 34 points while the Crew and Union follows them with 31 points and Orlando with 30 points. The Black & Gold will travel to face Orlando City on Sunday night.
