Minnesota United is on bad streak. They have only won one of their last 6 games. Nontheless, their coach, Adrian Heath, isn't moving the bench that much. In two of the last three matches of the team he has only made a single substitution. Both games end up in 0-0 draws against Real Salt Lake and Nashville SC.

Heath doesn't hesitate when it comes to shifting the starting line up from game to game. In fact, he made four line up changes for Tuesday's game at Nashville, compering to the tea that started the Saturday's 2-0 home win over FC Cincinnati.

But once the line up has been choose, Heath isn't seen many posibilites of shifting the course of the game. The Minnesota coach made only one change in each tie: Marlon Hairston for Jacori Hayes against Real Salt Lake and Kei Kamara for Aaron Schoenfeld against Nashville.

The most tricky aspect about this is that the International Football Association approved new regulations so that 5 changes can be made in each game, something that Adrian Heath has only taken advantage of 3 times since football returned back in July.

Tired of criticism, Adrian Heath said that in America there is a fascination with substitutions and he added that in MLS fans can't understand football moments. Whatever Heath's ideas are, keeping the same team without substitutions is not giving him many results. Actually, he is 7 points behind the Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference.
